About the Role
We are seeking expressions of interest for a Finance Systems Graduate, where you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the operation and improvement of HBF’s finance systems. This role offers the opportunity to develop practical skills in financial processes, systems administration, and data analysis while contributing to accurate reporting and efficient finance operations within a collaborative team environment.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with day-to-day support and administration of finance systems, including ERP, planning, reporting, and expense management tools.
- Support routine finance processes such as month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
- Maintain master data and perform data checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial information.
- Contribute to system enhancements, configuration changes, upgrades, and testing activities, including user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with finance teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and document system procedures and user guides.
- Actively participate in learning and development activities to build knowledge of finance systems and financial processes.
If successful, this position will be based in Perth on a permanent full-time basis.
About You
You’re an enthusiastic and motivated graduate with a keen interest in finance systems and data. You enjoy learning, problem-solving, and working collaboratively to support accurate financial reporting and efficient processes. Your strong attention to detail and willingness to grow make you a valuable addition to the team.
Ideally, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in finance systems, data, or financial processes through study, internships, or graduate placements.
- Exposure to financial data, reporting, or analysis, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel for formulas, data analysis, and reconciliations.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, planning, reporting, or expense management) through study or practical experience.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and technologies.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
