About the Role
As a Procurement Specialist at HBF, you’ll play a key role in sourcing and managing IT goods and services that enable our digital transformation journey. Acting as a trusted partner to IT stakeholders, you’ll lead procurement activities to ensure we achieve the best value from technology suppliers while maintaining compliance with governance standards. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic sourcing and deliver innovative solutions in a dynamic, member-focused organisation.
In this position, you will:
- Lead sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts for IT goods and services, including software, hardware, and cloud solutions.
- Partner with IT Contract Owners and Managers to plan and execute procurement initiatives aligned with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with HBF procurement policy, IT governance, cybersecurity requirements, and risk management frameworks.
- Manage supplier evaluation processes, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and RFTs, and provide recommendations for supplier selection.
- Collaborate with Legal and other stakeholders to develop robust commercial contracts and support contract variations and renewals.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement practices through automation, digital workflows, and supplier performance analytics.
This position is based in Perth on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
About You
You’re a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in IT procurement and supplier management. You thrive on building relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance while driving value and innovation. Your ability to navigate complex technology sourcing and deliver strategic outcomes makes you an ideal fit for this role.
Ideally, you will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT procurement, technology sourcing, and vendor management.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of delivering cost savings and value improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across multiple business units.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity requirements, and risk management frameworks.
