As the Financial Accountant, you will be instrumental in ensuring that financial accounting, controls, statutory and regulatory reporting is completed accurately and on time for within HBF. You will own and deliver month end tasks including treasury accounting and payroll-related financial reporting while building strong relationships with your internal and external stakeholders.

You will provide direct and indirect tax and compliance and accounting support to financial accounting team members with BAU and process improvements while liaising with external auditors to ensure the audit is conducted efficiently and within reporting deadlines.

About You
You are a seasoned financial professional with a Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) qualification and ideally, previous experience in Big 4 firms. Your expertise will include a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS, and a track record of preparing statutory financial statements to the highest standards.

You are a self-starter, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and provide quality outcomes with minimal supervision, while also contributing as a team player. Using your exceptional communication skills you will work with Senior Stakeholder’s, confidently presenting reports and presentations as required.

 Previous experience

  • Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ)
  • 3+ years’ experience in a large commercial organisation
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant governance and compliance requirements
  • Excellent controls awareness, such as reconciliations, balance sheet verification, P&L check and data integrity
  • Auditing experience (desirable)
