Contract Opportunity till End of May 2025 (0.6 FTE)

As the Event Consultant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of HBF Run for a Reason, working closely with the Senior Events Manager and Coordinator. You will manage contracts and volunteers, ensuring all internal governance processes are completed and compliant, and that all contract deliverables are met. You will also coordinate volunteer roles, ensuring consistency in briefings and communications.

 

You will use your strong collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders, including event sponsors, media partners, internal executives, corporate clients, and the external event team. You will actively identify opportunities to improve ways of working with internal and external partners and take the lead in implementing these improvements.

 

About the role

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including cyber, privacy, legal, and procurement to ensure all internal governance requirements are completed.
  • Manage contract deliverables and develop and execute critical paths for all event partners and suppliers.
  • Coordinate all core volunteer roles, including role allocation, creation of briefing documentation, and managing volunteer briefings pre-event and on event day.
  • Support the effective and efficient delivery of Run for a Reason, including partnership, supplier, stakeholder, and charity management, activation management, administration, budget management, VIP management, start/finish line management, and pack collection management.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external partners, influencing decision-making and project/campaign outcomes.

 

Previous experience

  • Tertiary qualifications preferably in Marketing or a related area.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Events/Marketing (or related) experience.
  • Experience in end-to-end event management with ability to execute event deliverables
  • Experience in contract management and sponsorship
  • Understanding of marketing-focused risk and compliance obligations in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience maintaining brand integrity and consistency.
  • Experience managing agencies and maintaining budgets.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Understanding of modern marketing technology and practices.
  • Experience in agile working environments preferred.
