Are you passionate about bridging the gap between technical analytics teams and business stakeholders? As the Analytics Translator, you will play a crucial role in translating complex analytics insights into actionable business strategies and recommendations. You will serve as a liaison between analytics teams and various business units, assisting with prioritisation and ensuring that analytics solutions align with organisational goals and objectives.
About the role
- Support the development of advanced data products to understand key behaviours and drivers, ensuring data-driven decisions are grounded in fact.
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to develop business-focused data science products and data assets.
- Own the translation of agreed priorities into agile delivery plans, endorsed by key stakeholders and data and analytics management.
- Produce insights to support and guide Senior Management and Executive Team decision-making.
- Collaborate with the relevant HBF division to ensure alignment of the data & analytics Annual Planning process.
- Support the Head of Insights & Analytics in developing strategic data roadmaps for various data products.
- Lead D&A squad for delivery, monitor and report on delivery progress to an agreed cadence.
- Work collaboratively across HBF to ensure the Voice of Members is shaping priorities and strategy delivery.
- Support the embedding of a data-driven approach to strategy formulation and recommendations.
About you
- Degree or experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or 3+ years of experience in a relevant field such as data analyst, data lead, BI Analyst, BI lead.
- Ability to simplify complex information into a clear fact base to aid decision-making.
- 3+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI.
- Self-starter able to mobilise a large group of diverse people to get something done.
- Excellent research, analysis, and critical thinking skills.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, with hands-on experience in statistical analysis and modelling.
- Experience with Agile development methodology and strong agile working practices.
- Experience working in the healthcare or insurance industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of programming skills for data pre-processing, analysis, and visualisation.
- Experience with AWS, Snowflake, and Tableau technologies is preferred.
