The Opportunity:

HBF are seeking a Senior Integration Developer with deep expertise in .NET and AWS to join our Perth based development team, working in partnership with business stakeholders, business analyst's and architects. In this role, you will work well independently as well as in a team to design, develop, and maintain our AWS API's and Microservices to support the organisation’s quarterly business objectives.  You’ll lead technical design discussions, drive innovation, and mentor junior developers within the team. This is a hands-on technical role with the opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of AWS APIs and services aligned with user stories and sprint goals.
  • Contribute innovative technical solutions and continuously improve design methodologies and standards.
  • Build scalable, secure AWS-based APIs and Microservices that meet acceptance criteria and sprint timelines.
  • Provide accurate effort estimates and collaborate closely with other developers during planning and execution.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure robust, reliable APIs.
  • Ensure testing is thorough and completed within sprint timeframes.
  • Conduct and participate in peer reviews of code, tests, and designs to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation as part of ongoing project delivery.
  • Support and mentor one or more developers within the squad to build team capability.

About You:

  • Proven experience in Cloud platforms specifically AWS
  • A strong willingness to learn and work with AWS Cloud Platforms
  • Excellent Web API and .NET core experience
  • Web services development (both REST and SOAP)
  • A proven track record of working in an Integration role (including API design) 
  • Plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles CI/CD
  • Strong Unit testing skills using xUnit or Nunit with a mocking framework such as MOQ
  • Optional experience with containers e.g. Docker
  • Team player, able to split up work and collaborate on the same feature as other developers
  • Experienced working in an Agile environment
