As the Payroll Advisor, you'll be the go-to person for all things payroll. You'll manage end-to-end payroll processes, making sure our people get paid accurately and on time, and be the friendly expert who can explain entitlements and leave with clarity and confidence.

As part of the Performance, Reward and Insights team, reporting to our Payroll Lead, you’ll work closely with colleagues in People & Corporate Affairs and Finance.


What you’ll do

  • Run the full payroll cycle — data validation, processing, reconciliations and reporting
  • Make sure pay runs, super, and deductions happen like clockwork
  • Help managers and employees understand their pay, leave, and entitlements
  • Support audits while ensuring we’re always compliant with legislation and HBF policies
  • Keep up-to-date with payroll legislation, making sure our internal processes align

 

About you

You are confident in your experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of payroll legislation and enterprise agreements.

You clearly communicate with stakeholders as the payroll SME, displaying strong written and verbal communication skills — you can explain payroll without the jargon.

You have previous experience supporting payroll within medium to large organisations using a variety of payroll systems, experience with Workday and Aurion would be a bonus.
