As the Principal Cyber Security Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving HBF’s security posture, ensuring that security is embedded across all change activities. Leading the development and enhancement of our Cyber Security Architecture Capability, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, partners, and teams to achieve effective security outcomes. You will provide expert guidance on implementing the Cyber Security Control framework and act as a trusted advisor on Cyber Security matters across the organisation. Additionally, you will mentor technology colleagues on Cyber Security best practices, develop architecture principles, and translate regulatory requirements into actionable system and security designs.

About the role

• Provide leadership to the Cyber Security team, working with the Head of Cyber Security
• Develop, enhance, and maintain the Cyber Security Architecture Capability
• Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to achieve security outcomes
• Translate policy frameworks and regulatory requirements into tangible designs
• Act as a trusted advisor on Cyber Security matters across the organisation
• Mentor colleagues on best practices in Cyber Security architecture
• Contribute to the development of architecture principles and security standards

Previous experience

• Experience in Cyber Security Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture roles
• Strong understanding of Cyber Security architecture in an enterprise environment
• Experience in designing and implementing security controls, particularly in cloud environments
• Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (NIST CSF, CPS234, etc.)
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Cyber Security
• Industry certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.) are highly regarded
