As the Finance Operations Manager, you will lead a small team within HBF’s Group Finance team, providing technical expertise across HBF Health Group. You’ll work closely with Member Services and operations teams to improve finance processes, and partner with stakeholders across the business to drive new initiatives while supporting external consultants and auditors

 

What you’ll do
Lead Financial Accounting & Reporting Operations: You will take ownership of ensuring financial accounting, control and statutory and regulatory reporting is completed accurately and on time for entities in the HBF Health Group

Streamline Processes: Seek to develop and implement efficient policies and procedures, and drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, identifying opportunities for automation.

External Audit & Compliance: Manage the external audit process and support APRA returns, making sure compliance obligations and deadlines are met.

Internal Controls & Risk Management: Maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and reduce financial risks. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and manage internal and external audits effectively.

About you
You demonstrate expertise in technical accounting and have experience preparing papers for Audit Committees, engaging with stakeholders to provide recommendations.

You are an experienced and confident leader who provides mentorship and coaching to your team, helping them grow professionally while fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment.

You are adaptable, supportively guiding your team through transitions, while always seeking to challenge the status quo, finding ways to improve processes and efficiencies and encourage your team to do the same.

Your Previous experience in a large highly regulated organisation will assist in your success in this role.
