HBF is offering an opportunity for an Actuarial Intern position where you will work alongside experienced professionals to support critical business decisions and gain valuable experience in the actuarial field. This role is available on a fixed term basis to support projects and leave coverage.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in producing regular management, regulatory, and operational reports
  • Undertake data and actuarial analysis to support business decisions
  • Help develop financial models and forecasts and provide general analytical support across HBF
  • Collaborate with team members on key projects and contribute to the overall success of the actuarial function


About you
You’re currently pursuing or have completed studies in Actuarial Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

You have strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and interpret data who is comfortable discussing and presenting clear recommendations based on your findings.

You are a collaborative team player with a can do attitude and the ability to work professionally within a small, high-performing team.

Experience with MS Excel is essential with knowledge of Snowflake/SAS/SQL or similar tools is a plus (but not required). If you have exemptions from Foundation Program (Part 1) Actuarial units, that’s a bonus.
