As a Senior Procurement Manager at HBF, you will be instrumental in shaping and leading our procurement strategies to ensure the efficient sourcing of essential goods and services for our operations.
You will be hands on in directly impacting optimising costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing the procurement function, while managing suppliers for general services.
About the role
Strategic Procurement Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of procurement processes aligned with HBF’s while guiding and mentoring your team to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and efficiency.
Supplier Management: Oversee supplier selection, evaluation, and management while building strong relationships to ensure high-quality, timely delivery while negotiating favourable terms and agreements.
Cost Optimisation: Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality, leveraging market trends and industry knowledge to identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed on procurement laws and regulations within Private Health Insurance, ensuring all procurement activities are transparent, fair, and compliant with legal standards and company policies.
Risk Management: Identify procurement-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, safeguarding HBF’s interests and maintain a resilient supply chain.
About you
A seasoned procurement leader, you have extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a proven ability to lead teams. You drive results in the tender and business renewal processes while actively mitigating potential risks.
Drawing on your negotiation and communication skills you proactively educate your team and stakeholders on procurement laws and ethical standards, particularly within the insurance and healthcare.
You are confident using procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting, sharing your findings and potential cost savings or efficiencies with internal teams such as Finance, Member Services, Technology, and Risk.
Preferably, with previous experience in an APRA regulated environment you have an understanding of CPS230 and actively consider sustainability impacts in your processes.
