We’re on the lookout for a Dental Operations Manager who’s passionate about people, operations, and creating a smooth, high-quality patient experience.
You’ll be the go-to leader keeping our large dental practice running like clockwork, balancing the day-to-day while also thinking big about long-term improvements. Whether it’s making sure our patients feel cared for, managing a tight schedule, or motivating a fantastic team, you’ll play a central role in shaping how our practice delivers care.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
Practice Operations & Patient Flow: You’ll coordinate daily activities including appointments, scheduling, stock, equipment, suppliers to keep everything running efficiently and smoothly.
Financial & Performance Oversight: You’ll manage budgets, review KPIs, and look for opportunities to grow and improve performance. You’ll also liaise with external accountants when needed. You'll ensure everything we do aligns with Australian healthcare regulations, from infection control to privacy to audit readiness.
Customer Experience & Communication: From front-desk smiles to feedback resolution, you’ll help ensure every patient has a positive experience while supporting our dentists in building strong patient relationships.
Strategic Growth & Innovation: You'll work closely with the Principal Dentist on business strategy, community engagement, marketing initiatives, and ideas to continue to grow the practice.
Team Leadership & Culture: You’ll recruit, train, and support admin and clinical staff—leading with empathy, accountability, and a focus on building a supportive, high-performing culture.
About you
We’re looking for someone who’s:
- Experienced in managing a healthcare or dental practice preferably a multi-chair or high-volume practice
- Comfortable with dental systems (e.g., Dentally), Medicare, and health insurance billing
- A great communicator with strong people and problem-solving skills
- Passionate about improving patient care, building culture, and driving results
A qualification in Business, Health Practice Management, or similar as well as familiarity with digital marketing and patient engagement platforms would be a bonus.
