As an Accountant at HBF you’ll support Life Ready, playing an important role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly within wellness. Working closely with the Finance wellness team, you’ll be hands-on with everything from financial reporting and tax compliance to payroll support and process improvement. This is initially a 6 – 8 month max term opportunity that will provide additional support while we transition from Xero to Tech-one.
What You’ll Do
- Manage day-to-day and month-end financial accounting activities for multiple entities within Life Ready
- Prepare bank reconciliations, process journals, and oversee accounts payable and intercompany transactions.
- Support payroll accounting and compliance — including payroll tax and Division 7A obligations.
- Prepare BAS, IAS, and FBT returns, and assist with year-end tax calculations and audits.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely financial outcomes.
About You
You’re an emerging finance professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys taking ownership of your work. You’re curious, adaptable, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves to investigate a tricky reconciliation or improve a process.
You’ll bring;
- A degree in Accounting or Commerce, and ideally you’re working towards (or planning to start) your CA or CPA
- 1–2 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a small to medium-sized organisation
- A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Previous experience with an ERP implementation would be advantageous
