About the Role
As the ThirdParty Distribution Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the delivery of HBF products and experiences across our third‑party distribution channels. Sitting within the Digital team and working closely with the Product Owner, you will provide leadership within the squad, shape roadmap direction, support strategic initiatives, and champion high‑quality delivery outcomes. You’ll build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders, ensure robust operational performance, and help optimise how our partners and members engage with HBF.

In this role, you will:

  • Leading the delivery of digital features, enhancements and workstreams that support HBF’s third‑party distribution strategy.
  • Managing production services, system incidents and operational issues to maintain strong platform performance and compliance.
  • Supporting the Product Owner with roadmap planning, resource prioritisation, dependency management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Designing and delivering training and onboarding for brokers and aggregators while monitoring their ongoing compliance.
  • Driving effective risk management by identifying, assessing and mitigating operational risks across digital distribution channels.
  • Representing HBF in internal and external engagements, coordinating with cross‑functional teams, vendors and key partners as needed.

This position is open to applicants based in QLD, NSW or VIC. This also a 12-month fixed-term opportunity with full-time hours.

About You
You’re a confident, collaborative and commercially minded delivery leader who thrives in agile environments and enjoys solving complex problems. You bring strong stakeholder influence, an ability to translate strategy into action, and a passion for delivering outcomes that improve both business performance and member experience. You’re equally comfortable engaging with technical teams, senior stakeholders and external partners, and you’re known for your clear communication, strategic thinking and ability to get things done.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving delivery outcomes.
  • Proven ability to prioritise, plan and execute work in agile, cross‑functional environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Experience designing and delivering training, onboarding or capability uplift for partners or internal teams.
  • Analytical thinking and comfort using data to inform decisions, understand member needs and resolve issues.
  • A background in digital delivery, service design, or change management — ideally within insurance, financial services or a similar environment.
