About the Role
As the Contracts Coordinator AHSA, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring hospital and medical contracts are accurately implemented and maintained across HBF’s systems. You will work closely with AHSA, providers and internal stakeholders to support contract operations, regulatory compliance and the smooth administration of provider agreements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail‑focused environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is committed to supporting accessible, high‑quality healthcare for members.
In this role, you will:
- Implement AHSA hospital and medical contracts and other provider agreements into internal systems with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain up‑to‑date contract documentation, schedules, and fee arrangements across claims, provider and member platforms.
- Support compliance activities including preparing and validating MBS, HCP and other regulatory datasets.
- Respond to provider and internal queries, resolving operational issues and claims discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancement projects related to contracting and provider operations.
- Assist with knowledge management, training, and internal communication to ensure contract and compliance processes are well understood.
This is a permanent full-time position, open to candidates based in Melbourne or Perth.
About You
You’re an organised, detail‑oriented professional with experience in contract administration, provider operations or a similar healthcare environment. You’re confident managing data, navigating regulatory requirements and liaising with stakeholders, and you bring a proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working with AHSA contracts, healthcare provider agreements or MBS/HCP datasets (or the ability to quickly learn).
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, compliance and data integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support providers and internal teams.
- Proficiency with contract, claims or compliance management systems and confidence working with structured datasets.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions and support process improvements.
