About the Role
As a Data Analyst in our Analytics and Insights team, you’ll play a key role in turning complex data into meaningful insights that support smarter decision‑making across the business. Working closely with stakeholders, data engineers and analytics specialists, you’ll help deliver high‑quality analysis, reporting and dashboards that empower teams and promote a strong, data‑driven culture. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large‑scale transformation initiatives while building robust, scalable data products that create real impact for our members.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Collecting, collating and interpreting data from multiple internal and external sources
- Analysing complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, risks and opportunities
- Designing, developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using enterprise BI tools
- Delivering actionable insights and clear recommendations to business stakeholders
- Supporting data analytics initiatives such as segmentation, modelling and predictive analysis
- Collaborating with data engineering and business teams to improve data quality, processes and self‑service capability
This position is based in Perth on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
About You
You’re an analytical and curious problem‑solver who enjoys working with data and engaging with stakeholders to uncover insights that matter. You combine strong technical capability with the ability to clearly communicate complex information in a simple, compelling way. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, you take pride in delivering high‑quality outputs and continuously improving the way data is used across the organisation.
Ideally, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in data analysis, reporting and dashboard development
- Strong technical skills in SQL and Python, with exposure to pySpark and enterprise data warehouses
- Hands‑on experience with BI and analytics tools such as Tableau or similar platforms
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate data into insights
- A tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
