Due to continued growth our Actuarial team are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their core stream. This role is primarily responsible for the delivery of analytical and actuarial expertise, advice and recommendations relating to financial and insurance risk management to support key stakeholders in making business decisions.
Another key aspect of the role is the overlap with the Data Analytics team and the requirement to enhance the broader team’s capability in this area.
Reporting to the Actuarial Manager and based out of our modern Kings Square head office, this role will be offered as a permanent full-time opportunity.
We are seeking a naturally curious individual with the ability to think outside the box to develop solutions with an actuarial mindset. You will be well versed at operating in a fast-pasted dynamic environment, working independently, but readily collaborating with the broader group. The ideal candidate will be qualified in actuarial science but has transitioned into Data Scientist role.
Additional selection criteria include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Science, or related discipline;
- Minimum 3 years’ professional working experience in a relevant domain;
- Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) with the ability to translate technical information into understandable and relevant content for stakeholders;
- Strong technical knowledge in SAS, SQL, R, Python or similar; and
- Proven ability to manipulate and analyse complex data from various sources to derive insights.
