The Opportunity
An exciting 12-month contract opportunity has become available to partner with the Data Quality and Governance team and support the development, implementation and maintenance of data quality solutions and outcomes for HBF by:

  • Collecting and reviewing business and reportable metric definitions to enable the Data Engineering team and ensure the Data Dictionary is populated with endorsed terms and high-quality metadata
  • Engaging with Data & Analytics stakeholders to perform investigations of data quality issues relating to the Data Dictionary

Reporting to the Senior Information Management Specialist, this role will be based in our Kings Square head office in Perth CBD and offers flexibility to work-from-home.

About You
You are tertiary qualified in discipline such as IT, computer science or software engineering and have an understanding of data management (including the creation and maintenance of metadata). A well-rounded communicator, you are confident in your ability to present recommendations and translate technical information into easy to understand terms. You work well within a team environment but can adjust your style to operate autonomously when needed and meet deadlines.

Any experience with analytics or reporting processes and presentation tools (such as Tableau, Qlik or similar), experience using Atlassian tools (such as Jira and Confluence) and knowledge of Data Catalogue tools (such as Alation) will be highly regarded, but not essential.
