The Opportunity

The HR Officer forms an integral part of the HR Service Delivery Team at HBF, it reports to the Lead HR Advisor and works as a trusted advisor to the business providing HR generalist advice, coaching, and mentoring to HBF people leaders and employees. You will also ensure that the business is supported in a seamless, efficient, and effective manner within a customer-centric service model.

This is a fast-paced role and responsibilities include processing employee variations, providing advice on straightforward to moderate industrial matters, managing employee leave entitlements, maintaining personal files, providing support to HR Advisors in managing HR/ER related cases and participating in projects across the People & Corporate Affairs Team.

This position also incorporates taking ownership of process, systems, and data to provide the Advisory team with meaningful information to assist with reporting and decision making. 

 

About You

We are ideally seeking candidates, early in their HR career who see this as an opportunity to learn and develop their skills. More specifically you will be:

  • Recently tertiary qualified in Human Resources and/or Industrial Relations with some experience in a HR generalist role providing a broad range of HR expertise
  • Excellent with systems with a curiosity around data and how to interpret it
  • Self-directed and curious individual with the drive to take the time to get to the bottom of an issue
  • Strong attention to the detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed communication skills with demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
